Fundraising Activities

There isn't a 'Fun' in Fundraising for nothing, whilst we are very grateful for any ways in which you can raise funds for the charity ideally it should be fun and something you enjoy doing and are committed to.  This is, whether you are doing something quick and relatively easy or something that takes a little longer and may be more difficult to plan and execute.  There are obviously many things you can choose to do, here are just a few ideas to help get your creative juices flowing!

Quick Hit - some ideas that are relatively easy to set up and organise...

Raffle (maybe ask local organisations if they would be willing to contribute prize donations), Swear box/tin (can soon mount up the funds), Dress-up/down day (maybe with a sun theme, why not get people to dig out their most hiddeous Hawaiian shorts and wear them for the day in aid of a very good cause!), Cake baking and sales or a charity car wash event - the options are limitless!

Sporting Support - get sponsors to spur you on....

Run in a race, there are lots of running races you can enter to raise sponsorship funds for the charity, from Marathon, Half-Marathon to 10K races.  The Runners World website has lists of races near and far, and even has training plans to help you on your way - check it out here!

Similarly you could be tempted by a triathalon, coast to coast walk, rowing across the channel (if you are feeling very adventerous), or maybe an organised challenge, a number of companies do arrange such events like Global Challenges
