On 6th December collaborative group Skin Cancer UK launched it's second parliamentary report entitled 'Skin Cancer Revealed' to MP's at Westminster. The report aims to providing the most comprehensive summary of information on patterns in skin cancer incidence and outcomes in England, as well as service delivery to date
In total 21 cross-party MPs and peers attended (plus researchers from two other MP offices). This included all officers of the APPG on Skin (Sir Paul Beresford MP, Baroness Finlay, Baroness Masham, Rosie Cooper MP and Sir Peter Bottomley MP). All four nations were represented at the event, which creates a positive foundation for further activity in the devolved nations.
All MPs received a copy of the report and briefing, and took part in the photo-call with the melanoma incidence map which they can use in their outreach with local media.
