ComputerTan was a spoof campaign created for Skcin by London agency McCann Erickson. The ingenious campaign convinced over 1.5 million tan seekers that they could get a tan from their own computer screen just by logging in to a revolutionary new online tanning service at www.comptertan.com
The computertan website was advertised through the creation of a spoof infomercial, print campaign, social and ambient media and was soon picked up by national press and TV stations.
The spoof was revealed by delivering a very impactful message about the danger all those desperate tanseekers who had registered on computertan were putting themselves at in pursuit of a tan!
