Andrew Langford - Political Consultant
Andrew was Chief Executive of the Skin Care Campaign (now Chief Exec of the Birtish Liver Trust) and chaired the 2008 All Party Parliamentary Inquiry into Skin Cancer. Andrew has worked to maintain dermatology services throughout the country and has previously worked in the fields of cancer, HIV and palliative care, which alongside personal and family experience of cancer, adds the knowledge and experience needed for him to be effectively passionate about improving the care, treatment and support needed for everyone with and affected by cancer. Andrew was a key member of the team that produced the SCUK "Skin Cancer in the UK: The Facts" report. He has campaigned for improved prevention and early detection of skin cancer, including banning sunbed use for the under 18s, and a key member of the Melanoma Taskforce, working for improvements in the treatment and care of those with and affected by all skin cancers.
Catherine Wheelhouse - Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist Skin Cancer. EN, RGN, BSc(hons).
Catherine is the Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist for Skin Cancer at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust. She has been a Specialist Skin Cancer Nurse for the last 15 years. Being the first Skin Cancer Nurse in post in the UK. She is a core member of the Bradford Skin Cancer MDT, she is also the lead for Service Improvement and User Involvement for MDT. Catherine is also the Service Improvement Lead and lead for User Involvement and Information for the Yorkshire Cancer Network, a member of the Melanoma Taskforce and a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on skin as well as chair for British Association of Skin Cancer Nurse Specialist. She produces and leads the inauguration of the Clinical Examination and Case Management (skin cancer) Masters Module at the University of Bradford and lectures at the University of Bradford regarding prevention & the holistic care of skin cancer patients. In 1995 Catherine was awarded the Royal College of Nursing, Cancer Nurse of the Year Award for endeavourment regarding her work for skin cancer nursing.
Dr Andrew Wright - BMedSCi LRCP MRCS MB ChB FRCP

Dr Andrew Wright is a Consultant Dermatologist at Bradford teaching hopspital NHS trust, where he has been practicing since since 1990. Dr Wright trained in Edinburgh and Sheffied and qualified from Sheffield in 1981. He is the lead clinician for skin cancer Bradford and Airedale, a honorary senior lecturer at the university Leeds and honorary visiting senior research fellow at the University of Bradford.
Professor John Hawk - BSc MD FRCP FRACP
Emeritus Professor and recent Head of the Photobiology Unit, St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College, London, UK, having studied at St Mary’s and Guy’s Hospitals, London and at Harvard Medical School. Boston. He has written multiple scientific papers, book chapters and books, and was formerly editor of the journal, Clinical and Experimental Dermatology.

Emeritus Professor of Photobiology, Dermatological Sciences at Newcastle University and international authority on sun protection. Research interests and expertise concern skin photobiology, particularly in the measurement of human exposure to natural and artificial ultraviolet radiation, its effects in normal and diseased skin, and environmental and behavioural aspects of sun exposure.
Saskia Reeken - Clinical Nurse Specialist Skin Cancer RGN, BSc, Dip Dermatology,V300, N25
Saskia hails from the Netherlands. She has worked for many years in Dermatology and Skin Cancer gained extensive experience initially as an Outpatients sister and later CNS. After some years as Macmillan CNS Skin Cancer at St George's Hospital, she changed recently to work at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust, setting up and facilitating services for skin cancer / dermatology patients. She is currently the chair of the BDNG Skin Cancer sub group and board member for BASCN (British Association of Skin Cancer Nurses) and actively works with other groups such as BAD Skin Cancer Committee, Skin Cancer UK, Melanoma Task Force and the Sun Smart Advisory Board, to take national skin cancer issues and education forward.
Susan Murray, Head of Health and Safety, Unite the Union
Susan has worked for Unite and one of its predecessor unions, the Transport and General Workers’ Union since 2002. She is a solicitor who has been practising in the field of personal injury and health and safety law since 1994 and previously worked in private practice and as a legal officer for UNISON. She represents the TUC on a number of tripartite committees. She is the co-ordinator of the TUC’s Gender and Occupational Safety and Health Working Group.
