Trent Bridge Cricket Ground - Season 2007
To a large extent, skin cancer awareness days rely heavily on good weather. Unfortunately at two of the three pre-arranged promotional days, the weather was unsuitable, indeed one game was completely rained off. However, it was a case of third time lucky when on Sunday, August 26th (Notts v Gloucestershire) a Pro40 game, the sun did shine and members of SKCIN handed out fliers with complimentary suncreen sachets. P.A. announcements advised the crowd of the presence of the charity and an advertisement appeared in the matchday programme. A ground board advertising the charity website has been in situ for the entire season and additional advertising has appeared in the club magazine.

New College presentations.
Hairdressers and Beauticians on the front line !
Over one hundred trainee hairdressers and beauticians who are involved in various courses at New College, Nottingham ( formerly Clarendon College ) have recently attended presentations on the subject of skin cancer.

Plastic Surgeons from Nottingham City Hospital together with representatives of SKCIN explained to the students that during their future careers, they would have a vital role to play in the early detection of the various forms of skin cancer.
