New collaboration combines sun protection products with skin cancer prevention and early detection education
SKCIN is proud to support the launch of Latest in Beauty’s UV Safety: Sun Smart Edit, a new initiative developed in partnership with the British Beauty Council’s UV Safety Coalition to help improve awareness of, and access to, sun protection.
Bringing together a carefully curated collection of SPF essentials, skin-supporting formulas and beauty favourites, the Sun Smart Edit has been designed to encourage healthier everyday habits when it comes to UV exposure and skin health.
Importantly, the edit goes beyond product recommendations by placing education at its heart.
Alongside a selection of trusted sun protection and skincare products, consumers will also receive SKCIN’s skin cancer prevention and early detection booklets and mole rulers, helping to equip individuals with the knowledge and practical tools needed to protect their skin, monitor changes and recognise potential warning signs of skin cancer.
At SKCIN, we know that prevention and early detection remain our most powerful weapons against skin cancer. While sunscreen plays a vital role in protecting skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, education is equally important in helping people understand their risk, adopt sun-safe behaviours and seek professional advice when something doesn’t look right.
This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of the British Beauty Council’s UV Safety Coalition, Latest in Beauty and SKCIN to improve public understanding of UV safety and encourage long-term behavioural change.
By combining expert education with practical sun protection solutions, the UV Safety: Sun Smart Edit helps bridge the gap between awareness and action, making it easier for consumers to make informed choices about their skin health.
The launch comes at an important time, as evidence continues to demonstrate the cumulative impact of UV exposure throughout life and the importance of establishing healthy sun protection habits from an early age. Skin cancer remains the most common cancer in the UK, yet many cases are preventable through improved awareness, sun-safe behaviours and early intervention.
SKCIN is delighted to be part of this important initiative and would like to thank Latest in Beauty and the British Beauty Council’s UV Safety Coalition for their continued commitment to improving public awareness of UV safety and skin cancer prevention.
Together, we can empower more people to protect their skin, recognise the signs and symptoms of skin cancer, and take positive action to reduce their risk.
Because when it comes to skin cancer, awareness leads to action, and action saves lives.
